Ingredients: 3 cup coconut flakes, dried, unsweetened 1½ cup cocoa powder or raw carob powder 1 cup maple syrup or agave nectar or raw honey ... ½ cup raw cocao nibs ½ cup coconut butter, raw, virgin, cold pressed 1 tablespoon vanilla extract ½ teaspoon sea salt, coarse Preparation: Mix the ingredients together by hand in a large bowl. Using two spoons, shape macaroons into balls and set on a cookie sheet then place in refrigerator for a 1-2 hours. If you have time and have a dehydrator, place on dehydrator screens. Dehydrate 12-16 hours, until crisp on the outside and chewy in the middle. This will fill your kitchen with the aroma of dark chocolate.
